Philm has announced the new release of Manjaro 18.1.0, after six months of development.
This new version of the Manjaro 18.1 is named as “Juhraya”.
This release brings the Xfce, KDE and Gnome desktop versions.
This release includes a number of improvements. But the main improvement in this release is the choice of office applications.
Until now, only LibreOffice has been pre-installed. But starting from Manjaro 18.1, you have the option to install LibreOffice or Free Office.
FreeOffice 2018 seamless compatibility with Microsoft Office. It natively uses the current Microsoft file formats DOCX, XLSX and PPTX.

Also, it supports Microsoft older formats such as DOC, XLS and PPT and OpenDocument Text (ODT).
FreeOffice suite was developed by German software developer SoftMaker.
It targets users who have seamless compatibility with Microsoft Office.
Standard FlatPak and Snap support has been added through bauh. The graphical package management tool “bauh” (formerly known as “fpakman”) is now available to users.
All three desktop versions of Manjaro have been significantly improved and updated with new features to help users perform their daily tasks seamlessly.

It uses a rolling release model so you don’t need to change anything in the repository.
Use the Pacman Package Manager to perform the upgrade.
